About WSID

West Stanislaus Irrigation District is a special district of the State of California, regulated and governed by California Law and the California Water Code.

WSID was established in 1920 for the purpose of providing water for area farmers to grow crops in the San Joaquin Valley. WSID provides irrigation water to approximately 20,236 acres within its service area as well as 2,207 acres within the White Lake Mutual Water Company service area.

GSA

West Stanislaus Irrigation District filed to become its own Groundwater Sustainability Agency (GSA). This is the first step in complying with the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA). The District intends to work with other GSA’s within our groundwater basin to form a common Groundwater Sustainability Plan (GSP).
